In-home piano lessons cost the same as lessons at our Edina studio, with no added travel fee within our service area. Our teachers travel to homes in Edina, Minneapolis, Bloomington, Richfield and St. Louis Park. We help you find a suitable teacher and weekly time based on your address and availability.
A free 30-minute trial
Meet your teacher, try learning together and see how the connection feels. Soroush follows up privately afterward, and another trial lesson is available to explore a better fit. There is no obligation to continue. The trial costs families nothing, and the school pays the teacher in full for their time.
Recitals that celebrate progress
Our annual recitals celebrate the work students and teachers have done together, with music, smiles, snacks and no participation or admission fees. Teachers help students prepare at a comfortable pace. Performing is encouraged, never required, and families can enjoy seeing the progress their support has helped make possible.

A child’s experience in the classroom does not tell the whole story of what they can discover at the piano. At Naji Piano School, we welcome neurodivergent children and teens, including autistic students and students with ADHD. Our approach starts with understanding the person: their strengths, interests and what helps them feel comfortable learning.
Soroush Naji brings years of experience teaching neurodivergent students and developing lessons around their individual needs. Carson Aldrich brings a bachelor’s degree from St. Olaf College with majors in music and psychology, piano-teaching experience and a background supporting autistic children and young people with ADHD.

Short, focused activities and manageable steps create opportunities for progress without expecting uninterrupted concentration throughout a lesson. Soroush’s neurodivergent students have also shared their music at our annual recitals, moments of pride for students and families alike. These celebrations are free for students and their families. Performing is encouraged, never required, and students can take part when they feel ready.

Piano lesson questions parents ask first
Do you offer in-home piano lessons, and where?
Yes, and it is what most of our families choose. We teach in homes across Edina, Minneapolis, Bloomington, Richfield and St. Louis Park, with no travel fee anywhere inside that area. Soroush Naji also teaches at our Edina studio on Gallagher Drive, near Centennial Lakes Park. Availability depends on your address and on our teachers’ schedules, and if you are just outside those five cities it is still worth asking.
What ages and skill levels do you teach?
Ages three and up, with no upper age limit: young beginners, teenagers, adults learning for the first time and players coming back after years away. We will help you find a teacher suited to the student’s experience, interests and goals.
How much do piano lessons cost in Edina?
Private lessons are $50 for 30 minutes, $70 for 45 minutes and $90 for an hour, the same at your piano and at ours. Each rate is for one student’s individual lesson. Thirty minutes is the most popular length and your teacher can help you choose the right one. Your first 30-minute trial lesson is free.
How does the free trial lesson work?
Your free 30-minute trial lets you meet your teacher, try making music and discuss your goals. The school pays the teacher in full; there is no cost or obligation for you. Soroush follows up privately afterward, and we can arrange another trial lesson with a different teacher to explore a better fit.
Do we need to buy a piano before starting?
No. Start with the trial and talk to your teacher about an instrument as the student’s interest develops. Already have a keyboard? Send us the model name or a photo and we will help you assess it. In-home lessons do need a suitable instrument at the house.
How does payment work?
You will receive one invoice at the beginning of each month for that month’s scheduled lessons, due before the first lesson of the month. We usually send payment requests through Zelle or Venmo, and other options are available, including an emailed invoice you can pay by card.
What if I need to cancel a lesson?
We understand that plans change. With at least 24 hours’ notice, we can offer a makeup lesson, subject to availability, or a credit toward the following month’s invoice. Lessons canceled with less notice are normally charged, since that time is reserved for you and can be difficult to fill. Your teacher may choose to waive the charge for a first-time cancellation or an unexpected emergency. We support their discretion while respecting their time. Please let us know as soon as you can.
Do students have opportunities to perform?
Yes. Our annual recital is free for students and their families, with no participation or admission fees. Teachers help students prepare to share their progress in a friendly setting with music and snacks. Taking part is encouraged, never required.
